Plein-Air Easton was SO much fun! Congratulations to the volunteers at the Academy Art Museum and the Avalon Foundation for a job well done. My fellow participating artists (and you know who you are), are just an endless source of inspiration! To my hostess, Nancy, you are so kind and your adorable puppies are wonderful. To the collectors of my work, thank you for supporting my creative efforts. I just loved painting there, meeting all the people on the streets, in the gardens, and in the boat yards and marinas.
Painting for hours every day was fun, but I am pathetically burnt out! To the right is a picture of my easel. I am embarrassed to admit, I left it set up in the lonely streets in downtown Easton, MD after the quick-draw event. I was so tired, I just drove away without it by mistake. I recovered it about an hour later.
I have a few commissioned paintings to complete, then I look forward to painting in my Fall 2009 Workshop from September 21 - 25 through the Middletown Arts Center.
