January is a month for getting ready for the Oil Painters of America (OPA) National Juried Exhibition. I've been an associate member for a year now, and this will be my first time applying to a show. Wish me luck!
Also in January I've decided to paint in watercolor, my preferred medium. I decidedly have a love-hate relationship with watercolors: I love them, they hate me. So, I've enlisted my buddy Stuart White - one of the best watercolorist I know, and this year's winner of Plein Air Easton - to help me with my tortured ambivalence. If he can't help me, nobody can! He's offering a workshop this weekend through MAPAPA in eastern Maryland.
Hoping you and your families enjoyed this holiday season. "Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour." Keep awake ; )
